ROSHANAK TAGHAVI is a journalist based in Washington, D.C. 

A recent Knight-Bagehot Fellow in Business and Economic Journalism at Columbia Business School, Roshanak has a Master of Science from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.

In the decade between pursuing her graduate degrees, Roshanak traveled between Washington, D.C. and the Middle East and North Africa, reporting on business, politics and culture for publications such as Newsweek Middle East, The Christian Science Monitor, Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal. 

She was a resident writer of fiction at the Vermont Studio Center, has a Bachelor of Science in Business from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, and has studied at the University of Paris IV (Sorbonne). She is a proud alumna of Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart.
